Job Description:

Join a community hospital laboratory in Huntington, West Virginia as an experienced Cytotechnologist on a Monday–Friday travel assignment. In this role, you will perform microscopic evaluation and screening of both gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens, helping keep diagnostic and quality initiatives moving with precision and consistency. You’ll evaluate and process specimens using ThinPrep and related cytology methodologies, supporting quality control and quality assurance work from start to finish.

Your work will also include specimen identification, labeling, and handling, and when applicable, you may assist with fine needle aspiration (FNA) procedures and Rapid On-Site Evaluation (ROSE). The assignment pairs hands-on technical testing with collaboration across the laboratory and with pathologists, ensuring accurate and timely results. Certifications/requirements: ASCP or equivalent CT certification; ThinPrep imager certification is required. Minimum 3 years of Cytotechnologist experience.

Location: Huntington, WV 25701 (1340 Hal Greer Boulevard)

Shift: 8 hour days, 08:00–16:30 (5x8)

Duration: 13 weeks
