Job Description:

Join a West 7 Med/Tele Complex Care team in Rochester, NY as a travel healthcare professional supporting acute med surg/tele workflows. This role works 12-hour mid shift nights (7P–7A), typically covering 36 hours per week with schedules that include 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. You’ll be expected to float to other units if needed, and the facility may request block booking (not guaranteed). Flexibility is part of the job—shifts and assignments adapt to the unit’s needs, including the possibility of working charge duties. Charting is completed in EPIC.

To be successful, you’ll bring 1 year of recent acute med surg/tele experience, plus an active NY RN license and AHA BLS. If you’re relocating from outside the U.S., 2 years of U.S. work experience is required. Candidates who have 2 years of recent acute med surg/tele experience are preferred. Highland will train if needed, and candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility. A willingness to work at least 1 holiday per contract is required.

Weather:

Expect cool, crisp days with a mix of cloud cover and occasional sunshine. Evenings can get chilly, so layering is helpful. Bring a warm coat and be prepared for the possibility of breezy conditions.
