Job Description:

Join a travel healthcare contract in Greenville, North Carolina, supporting a Palliative Care Inpatient Unit during 12-hour nights. In this role, you’ll help manage symptom-focused care for patients facing serious illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, kidney disease, pulmonary disease, and neurological conditions. You’ll work in a 16-bed unit where the focus is on comfort, monitoring, and coordinated bedside workflows across general medicine and surgery needs.

Your work will include patient assessment related documentation and ongoing infusion/therapy management, with opportunities to apply specialized skills such as IV insertion, including peripheral IV starts and central line management. The unit regularly supports complex therapies and devices, including epidurals, vents/tracheotomy patients, PICC lines, PCA, wound vac care, ostomy management, and Foley care. You’ll also be expected to read strips and manage drips such as insulin gtt, heparin gtt, morphine, and dilaudid, along with additional intravenous therapies.

Schedule details include self-scheduling with 36 hours per week for a 13-week contract. This assignment also includes required Relias training that must be passed upon booking within two attempts.

Expect warm, humid days with occasional rain and comfortable evenings. Nights are typically cool enough to enjoy outdoor time without heavy layers.
