Job Description:

Join a travel nursing contract supporting pediatric behavioral health in the Portland-area short term acute care network. This role includes night shifts (3x12) and weekend coverage every other weekend, with a schedule built around providing consistent staffing across pediatric behavioral health units.

As a registered nurse, you’ll float between units based on facility needs and your clinical strengths—so you’ll get variety within the same role rather than staying isolated to a single unit. Facilities in the local area may include Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent. Charting is completed in Epic.

This assignment is best suited for experienced nurses (no first-timers), with psych RN experience preferred. A vehicle is required for this assignment, and floating to Seaside may include a $5/hr incentive for hours worked there, plus additional hotel support if consecutive shifts require it. On-call is not required.

A small dose of humor is welcome on this trip: expect to be the “calm, steady navigator” in a fast-moving pediatric behavioral health setting—steady routines, teamwork, and plenty of room to use your expertise.

Expect cool, often cloudy conditions with a chance of light rain and occasional mist. Temperatures typically stay mild, with breezy days and comfortable evenings when you’re dressed for the weather.
