Job Description:

This 16-week contract positions you in an inpatient psychiatric unit, where you'll work 8-hour night shifts. The role involves providing care for patients with conditions such as schizophrenia, major depression, and bipolar disorder, with patient-to-nurse ratios reaching up to 1:9. A key part of the job is supporting patients through various treatments and managing their needs during overnight hours. The assignment offers a chance to hone your skills in a specialized mental health setting, working alongside a team dedicated to mental health recovery. Expect to bring at least one year of acute care experience and BLS & CPI or AVADE certifications. Navy scrubs are standard attire, and there are no call requirements. You'll work approximately 40 hours per week, including every other weekend shifts, in a setting that values both professionalism and a calm approach to challenging cases.
