Job Description:

Join a travel rehabilitation therapy team in Richmond, Virginia, supporting inpatient rehab services in a hospital-based setting. This assignment is designed for a therapist who has at least 2 years of hospital experience and is comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary rehab program. You’ll help deliver structured treatment plans through hands-on therapy and goal-focused sessions, including neuro re-ed, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-ed, self-care, and functional e-stim.

Work alongside a team of OT/PT groups, speech therapists, and rehab support staff, using Meditech Expanse for documentation. The department runs with 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech, and you’ll have access to rehab equipment such as Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego. Scheduling follows Monday–Friday coverage with 8-hour shifts between 7:00am–5:00pm, plus rotated weekend coverage. There’s also a floating policy, which may shift you to the acute hospital if rehab census is low.

To match the unit’s workflow, you’ll use AIDET communication and support immediate service recovery as part of the daily patient experience. The assignment is centered on inpatient rehab stroke certification and practical, equipment-supported therapy sessions that make every day feel purpose-built—think of it as rehab with the lights on and the plan in motion.

Expect mild to warm conditions with a mix of sunshine and occasional rain. Humidity can build, with comfortable outdoor weather most days—great for quick breaks between shifts.
