Job Description:

Join a stepdown cardiac-neuro team on 12-hour nights in Evansville, Indiana, supporting post–procedure care across a blended unit that includes designated stepdown beds plus additional MS/T needs. This role focuses on telemetry/12-lead EKG interpretation, managing post–heart cath procedures (including femoral/TR band care), and initiating or titrating common drips such as Cardizem, Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin.

You’ll also perform strong neuro-focused assessments and complete NIHSS screenings, with experience supporting patients presenting with STEMI/NSTEMI and conditions such as CVAs, seizures, possible TBI, carotid endarterectomy, sepsis, and DKA. Expect occasional mid-shift floating within the same campus, with cross-campus floating possible between nearby facilities with advance notice (2 hours). Night shift runs from 6:30–7, and you may float based on unit needs.

If you’re comfortable with critical thinking, rapid assessment, and EPIC charting workflows, this contract is a great fit for a traveler who wants to work with a stable, experienced team in a teaching hospital setting.
