Job Description:

Travel Behavioral Health RN needed for a contract in Harlan, Kentucky. This role is built for a registered nurse with 2+ years of current psychiatric experience who is comfortable working with Meditech EMR. You’ll float within your scope of practice, support units as staffing needs shift, and help keep care operations moving smoothly across a rotating schedule—making each shift purposeful and varied. The weekend component is part of the rhythm of the assignment, with every other weekend required.

Night shift coverage runs 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30). The schedule is 36/48 for the two-week pay period, and orientation is bi-weekly to ensure you’re set up for success as you begin and as you transition through the assignment.

Qualifications include an active KY or compact license, AHA BLS, and CPI. You must be able to float within scope, and you will be expected to complete assignment confirmation within 24 hours of an offer.

Weather:

Expect comfortable outdoor temperatures with a mix of sunshine and passing clouds, plus occasional rain showers. Evenings can feel cooler, so a light layer is typically helpful.
