Job Description:

Step into a fast-paced emergency setting in Alexandria, VA, providing skilled RN coverage for a combined Adult and Peds ED where patients are treated across all zones. This travel role centers on high-acuity care, with responsibility spanning STEMI, Stroke, sprains, sutures, and a wide range of emergencies that can include pediatric presentations as well.

Shifts run as 12-hour nights (with a 7p–7a schedule expectation), including flexibility to work both 3p–3a and 7p–7a as needed. You’ll manage common emergency workflows involving drips and routine vasopressors, insulin, and sedation. Weekend coverage is included, with 6 shifts scheduled in a 6-week period.

To qualify, you’ll bring 2+ years of ED experience and documented ability to work both adult and pediatric cases (ED does not have a separate pediatric area). Required credentials include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS; TNCC is preferred. Navy blue scrubs are required.

Weather:

Expect mild-to-warm conditions with occasional rain and comfortable evenings—great for getting outside between shifts.
