Job Description:

Join a travel healthcare team providing OR support duties while assisting in the operating room suite. In this role, you’ll follow established facility practices and policies, stay current on all required licensing, certifications, and mandatory trainings (including TB testing, safety testing, compliance, HIPAA, and other time-bound requirements), and help ensure smooth case flow by anticipating needs before and during each procedure. You’ll support orthopedic, neuro, and robotic cases, including tasks that may involve assisting with dressings or cast application at the end of the procedure, as directed by physician preference.

You’ll also play an important part in safe, accurate documentation and communication—performing and signing required counts before the patient leaves or the room, counting as required per procedure, ensuring complete instrumental trays, reporting exceptions, and updating surgeon preference cards as part of entity processes.

Assignment highlights include rotating responsibilities, participation in teaching, and an on-call schedule that requires timely response. If you’re experienced with orthopedic, neuro, and robotic workflow and take ownership without needing prompting, this is a great match.

Job Specifics:

Location: San Diego, California (92123)

Shift: 36.0 hours per week (with scheduled two shifts every other weekend)

Duration: 13 weeks

On Call: 12 hours weekend and 20 hours weekday during a 4-week period; 30-minute response time (weekend call is in addition to regularly scheduled weekend shift)

Cancellation: 1 shift per pay period may be cancelled without pay
