Job Description:

Step into a dynamic cardiovascular travel nursing role in Oklahoma City, supporting a mixed 24-bed unit that blends 12 Step-Down and 12 Med-Surg spaces. This assignment is built around cardiac-focused priorities, including close monitoring in-room and participation in pre/post cardiac workflows, cardiac stabilization, and cardiac rehab education and discharge planning.

In this role, you’ll assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, obtain and monitor physiological data, and document responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments. You’ll administer medications as ordered, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products, and assist with minor diagnostic procedures and treatment as directed. You may also be asked to interpret EKGs and monitor rhythms and rates, while collaborating with the team on cardiac rehab activities.

Cardiac experience is required, and Step-Down/PCU experience is strongly preferred. Expect hands-on care involving chest tubes, drips, and a balanced flow across step-down and med-surg responsibilities, with work taking place in the newer tower.
