Job Description:

Join the emergency department holding support team in Wilmington, NC, for a 13-week contract working 12-hour day shifts. You'll be stationed in the ED float pool, managing patients who are waiting for inpatient beds with various adult medical and surgical diagnoses. Your role involves monitoring telemetry, managing IV lines, and assisting with high-acuity patients, including those with complex conditions like renal failure, neuro injuries, or trauma. The position requires quick thinking and adaptability, as you'll float between ED, MedSurg, and PCU areas, often taking on diverse responsibilities in fast-paced, high-stakes situations. This is a unique opportunity to experience the ins-and-outs of an inpatient holding unit while working alongside a supportive team in a busy hospital setting.
