Job Description:

Join a step-down cardiac unit in Columbia, SC, as a Post-Operative Cardiac Registered Nurse specializing in post-op cardiac and vascular surgery patients. This role involves caring for patients ranging from 17 to 24 hours post-surgery, including those recovering from carotid endarterectomy, femoral endarterectomy, or AAA repairs straight from PACU. The work offers a unique chance to focus on cardiac telemetry, managing patients' recovery during the critical transition from surgery to stability. The assignment combines hands-on patient monitoring with the opportunity to witness the healing process firsthand, all within a surgical step-down environment that emphasizes post-CV surgery care. Expect engaging shifts during overnight hours, providing stability for your patients while experiencing the specialized cardiac setting that makes this assignment stand out.
