Job Description:

This inpatient Surgical unit in Quincy, Illinois is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join a 13-week contract working 12-hour day shifts. You’ll be immersed in a fast-paced environment with a focus on complex surgical cases such as joint replacements, abdominal surgeries, and neuro procedures. The role involves primary care nursing with a nurse-to-patient ratio typically ranging from 1:4 to 1:6, along with virtual admission and discharge support. Expect to handle procedures involving PCA pumps, TPN, Lipids, and narcotic management, including titrating drips like Heparin. Prior EPIC experience and surgical background are essential, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Prepare for a busy but rewarding assignment where your skills in sepsis management, post-op care, and acute interventions will be key.
