Job Description:
This ICU travel assignment at a high-acuity hospital in Montgomery, Alabama, offers a challenging and rewarding experience for critical care professionals. You will work in a 71-bed unit that functions as a Level I trauma center, with a mix of trauma, stroke, STEMI, and other complex cases. The role involves managing ventilators, central lines, chest tubes, and other advanced ICU procedures, with a patient ratio of 1:3-4 depending on the unit. Shifts are flexible, including 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, or 3p-3a, on a 4-week schedule. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team that includes charge nurses, phlebotomists, hospitalists, and more. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of recent critical care experience, Cerner or Epic EMR familiarity, and current certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. This assignment provides the opportunity to hone your ICU skills in a fast-paced setting while experiencing Southern hospitality.
