Job Description:

This RN contract on a PCU in Kings Mountain offers a chance to work primarily night shifts in a 33-bed unit focusing on a variety of patient needs, including stroke recovery, pneumonia, cellulitis, and other common diagnoses. The role involves managing patients with complex needs such as cardiac rhythms, wound care, and central lines while collaborating with support staff like CNAs and resource nurses. A unique aspect of this assignment is the opportunity to float within a regional network, including facilities like Cleveland and Lincoln, providing diverse clinical experiences. Travelers will engage in essential nursing functions and will be expected to bring at least 18 months of PCU experience, with required certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. The setting is fast-paced, with patient ratios around 1:5 to 1:6 for RNs, and emphasizes teamwork and communication without the need for patient assignment in charge nurse roles. The contract provides a chance to hone advanced skills with a focus on patient-centered care in a close-knit team environment.
