Job Description:

Join our team as a mental health RN in the Bronx, working 12-hour night shifts for an assignment that offers valuable experience in adolescent and adult psychiatric units. This role involves de-escalation, patient monitoring, and supporting individuals with severe mental illnesses, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related conditions. You’ll work across two main areas: an adolescent psych unit and an adult section, with responsibilities such as administering psychotropic medications, managing crisis situations, and assisting with procedures like phlebotomy and EKGs. The schedule is consistent, with an expectation of filling scheduling gaps without block shifts. This assignment provides a chance to deepen your behavioral health skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment designed for experienced psychiatric nurses.
