Job Description:

This 13-week contract positions you in a bustling hospital setting in Weirton, West Virginia, working 12-hour night shifts. As a registered nurse, you'll be responsible for managing a variety of patient diagnoses including pneumonia, UTI, AMS, GI bleed, and alcohol withdrawal. The role involves monitoring vital signs, performing BGM's, EKGs, applying heart monitors, and assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, and turning patients. You'll work alongside nurse aides and RTs, with a focus on information accuracy and safety. Titrating certain drips like heparin and bumex is required, though cardiac drip titration is not part of the responsibilities. The unit operates with a team of charge nurses, and flexibility in schedule and floating to lower acuity units (MS, MS-Tele, or IMC) are essential.
