Job Description:

This travel assignment offers a hands-on opportunity to work in a vibrant outpatient surgical unit that recently opened in April 2024. You'll be assisting in a fast-paced environment where you'll need to cross over seamlessly between the POHA and PACU areas, ensuring smooth patient transitions. Your primary tasks will include rooming preoperative patients, vital checks, blood draws, preparing rooms for nerve blocks, and maintaining the bays. Experience in outpatient or inpatient preoperative settings for at least a year is preferred, and you will have the chance to assist with nerve blocks and spinal procedures as part of your role. The schedule involves variable shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with some flexibility necessary to help fill staffing gaps. This assignment emphasizes teamwork in a modern, state-of-the-art space with a dedicated charge nurse overseeing preop and PACU activities.
