Job Description:

Join the surgical team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wisconsin for a 13-week travel contract working alongside experienced circulating nurses in the operating room. You'll be assisting with a variety of cases across multiple specialties including general surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, and GI, often handling busy days with an average of 45 cases. The role involves circulating and scrub work, with experience in DaVinci robotic procedures and trauma level II cases required. The schedule features 8-hour variable shifts, and you'll be on call approximately 6-8 nights per week and 1-2 weekends during the assignment. Expect to respond within 30 minutes when on call, with compensation for callback hours. Transportation is essential as you will need a personal vehicle for on-call responsibilities and possible float assignments to other Aspirus locations. This position offers a vibrant setting that allows you to hone your OR skills in a collaborative environment, managing a diverse caseload with the opportunity to contribute to complex surgeries. The contract includes unbillable hours during low census periods, and flexibility, resilience, and a strong work ethic are key to success here.
