Job Description:

This 13-week contract positions you as an experienced Operating Room (OR) nurse at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin. You'll handle a diverse caseload of 40-60 procedures daily across 21 ORs, including specialties such as ortho, neuro (cranis), spine, GYN, Urology, plastics, ENT, and GI. Expect to work 8-hour shifts with flexible hours, including mornings, late mornings, and early afternoons, with responsibilities that include circulating and scrub duties. A key aspect of this role involves being prepared to float to other Central Aspirus locations if needed, with a requirement for trauma II experience, at least 5 years of OR practice, and previous travel experience. You must have your own vehicle due to on-call requirements, which include responding within 30 minutes and evening or weekend call rotations. The role involves performing downtime tasks as necessary and adhering to all safety policies, including mandatory flu and COVID vaccinations during flu season. The contract offers guaranteed hours of 40 per week with the possibility of low census hours that are billable when called back in. This is a fast-paced and resilient role suited for someone who manages change well and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
