This specialized Med/Surg Oncology RN position offers a rewarding opportunity at a cancer treatment hospital. As a key team member, you'll be administering chemotherapy, managing post-treatment fluid handling, and monitoring patients with a variety of cancer types including bladder, breast, lung, and ovarian. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment where your expertise in EPIC documentation, Pyxis medication systems, and safety protocols like SBAR communication are essential. You'll be providing care during 12-hour day shifts, with weekends and float assignments part of your schedule. Expect to handle complex treatments such as intravenous chemotherapy, biological therapies, and managing side effects while collaborating with the medical team to support patient recovery and comfort.
