Job Description:

Join a team of dedicated MedSurg/Pediatrics nurses in Carroll, Iowa, for a rewarding 13-week travel contract. You'll work 12-hour day shifts, providing critical care to a diverse patient population with diagnoses ranging from CHF and pneumonia to post-surgical recovery for both adults and children. This assignment offers the chance to sharpen your telemetry skills, especially interpretation of Phillips monitors, in a hospital setting where safety and quality initiatives are a priority. The unit maintains nurse-to-patient ratios aiming for 1:4 during peak times, with adequate staffing support including nurse aides and a charge nurse overseeing operations. You’ll be welcomed into a positive work culture emphasizing teamwork and continuous improvement, with opportunities to cross-train in CCU, OB, behavioral health, or ER departments. Be prepared to handle a med drawer key system for medication security and participate in hospital-wide quality projects. This role requires at least 3 years of MedSurg/Peds experience and a minimum of 1 year of travel nursing. Certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS, you’ll step into a unit that values professionalism and compassion.
