Job Description:

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a facility set in the scenic surroundings of Montana. This 13-week contract features 12-hour day shifts, giving you a chance to experience a quieter, more manageable pace without sacrificing the excitement of critical care. You'll manage a 1:3 patient ratio, handling complex cases including post-catheterization, DKA, cardiac drips, and patients with respiratory compromise or multisystem failure. Requires at least 18 months of PCU or intermediate care experience, with a focus on IV starts, central line blood draws, and telemetry. This role offers plenty of opportunities to demonstrate your skills within a supportive, team-oriented environment that expects first-time travelers to be strong and confident. Expect to float to MedSurg, LTAC, behavioral health, or ICU units as needed, with comprehensive orientation provided. The position emphasizes self-reliance with a charge RN overseeing one patient at a time, while you engage with advanced equipment like Meditech EMR, Baxter IV pumps, and Pyxis med dispensing.
