Job Description:

Join a fast-paced oncology and trauma PCU unit in Omaha, NE, for a 13-week contract working 12-hour night shifts. As an RN on this unit, you’ll manage adult patients with complex diagnoses, including oncology and trauma, often titrating drips such as insulin and Cardizem. The role offers a chance to demonstrate your skills with IV pumps, ventilator support, and hemodynamic monitoring. Orientation includes two days of training, and your responsibilities will involve hourly patient rounding, supporting a diverse patient population, and collaborating with a team committed to excellent care. Chemotherapy certification is preferred but not mandatory; however, BLS and ACLS are required. This position is perfect for experienced RNs with at least one year of acute care experience, especially those familiar with EPIC EMR and specialty equipment like Lyko lifts. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on night shift, with every other weekend off. Be prepared to work alongside a supportive team that values genuine caregivers who bring a positive attitude and teamwork spirit to their work environment. Driver's license is required for travel outside the 50-mile radius, and artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas.
