Job Description:

Join a rewarding travel assignment as a Labor and Delivery RN working 12-hour night shifts at two prominent hospitals in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role involves caring for women during labor, childbirth, and postpartum stages, with responsibilities including assisting in vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and providing comprehensive support to laboring patients and their partners. You'll utilize systems such as EPIC Stork, Centricity fetal monitoring, and Pyxis medication, ensuring efficient and safe patient care. The position offers a blend of teamwork — working alongside at least six other L&D RNs and shift lead — and independence, as you handle responsibilities typically in a 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, depending on labor stages. The work setting varies between two facilities approximately 18 miles apart, offering a chance to experience different hospital environments. You will work 12-hour night shifts, three out of four weekends, with guaranteed non-billable orientation hours. This assignment provides a hands-on opportunity in a lively, fast-paced labor and delivery department.
