Job Description:

Join a busy Level I trauma center in St. Louis as a PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. This role involves providing post-anesthesia care in the PACU, working four 10-hour days from 07:30 to 18:00. With no weekends or call requirements, you'll focus on recovering surgical patients from neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant surgeries. The unit handles a variety of complex cases, including patients with artificial airways, invasive monitoring, and those requiring blood transfusions or vasoactive medications. Your expertise in critical care procedures, IV placement, ICP monitoring, and managing ventilated patients will be put to good use in this fast-paced environment that operates 24/7. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to work within a top-tier hospital, recovering patients across a broad spectrum of surgical specialties, without the added complication of open-heart or liver transplant cases.
