Job Description:

Join the PACU team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for a 13-week contract that offers the chance to work in a fast-paced post-recovery setting. You'll manage patients in a 14-bay unit, caring for a diverse case mix including spine, neuro, GI, ENT, cardiac, and orthopedic surgeries. The role involves monitoring post-anesthesia patients, preparing them for transfer to ICU or general wards, and performing charting with Epic or other electronic systems. You'll experience a mix of scheduled 10-hour shifts with start times around 0730-0900, including on-call duties that involve responding within 30 minutes. This assignment is a great fit for experienced PACU nurses comfortable with high patient acuity and quick decision-making, especially those with recent hospital and post-cardiac or pediatric recovery experience.
