Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract at a prominent Level I Trauma Center in St. Louis, Missouri. This position involves working 10-hour days from 08:00 to 18:30, Monday through Friday, with no weekend, holiday, or call responsibilities. You'll be responsible for the recovery of a diverse patient population, including adults, occasional adolescents, and geriatrics, following various surgical procedures such as neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, and more. The role demands critical care experience, including invasive monitoring, managing vasoactive medications, and ventilated patients. This assignment offers an engaging opportunity to work within a busy, state-of-the-art facility, handling a broad spectrum of acute post-op cases. Certification requirements include BLS and ACLS, with experience using EPIC charting systems. The unique aspect of this role is the chance to recover a wide range of surgical patients in a critical care environment, emphasizing skill in dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, and ICP monitoring. No open-heart surgeries or liver transplants are involved.
