Job Description:

Join a rural Montana hospital as a Registered Nurse in their Emergency Department and MedSurg unit for a 13-week contract. This role offers a chance to experience a small-town setting with close-knit teamwork, where you’ll manage a variety of patient cases including COPD exacerbations, diabetes, behavioral health issues, and trauma. You’ll respond to emergent situations, perform IV starts, wound care, and assist with intubations, all while rotating through ER and MedSurg floors. The hospital operates without dedicated ER RN coverage, so your versatility and quick thinking are essential. An engaging aspect of this assignment is the opportunity to participate in endoscopy recovery once or twice a month, where you’ll learn or apply skills in procedural recovery. The shifts are scheduled on days, mids, or nights, with weekends and holidays rotating, allowing for flexibility and a true community hospital experience.
