Job Description:

This registered nurse role places you on the surgical/oncology unit of a busy hospital, where you'll be providing essential care for inpatient oncology patients and those undergoing various surgical procedures. The assignment offers the opportunity to administer chemotherapy, manage post-operative recovery, and support patients with complex needs such as wound care, drain management, and medication administration. You'll work 12-hour night shifts, immersing yourself in a fast-paced environment that necessitates strong skills in medication management, PICC line care, and post-surgical assessments. The unique aspect of this role is the ability to deliver chemotherapy directly to oncology patients, with a focus on teamwork and professionalism in a unit that supports multiple surgical specialties.
