Job Description:

This physical therapy contract offers a rewarding opportunity to work in an acute inpatient setting in Yuma, AZ. The scheduled shifts are ten hours each day, with a total of 40 hours weekly, providing a stable routine over the 13-week assignment. You will be focusing on a variety of caseloads, including total joints, CVA, CHF, COPD, and sepsis, handling 8-10 cases daily. This role demands a solid understanding of pathology, lab values, and effective interdisciplinary communication. The work environment features both ED and Med Surg areas, and you'll be working alongside PTAs in a team-oriented setting. The unit requires active AZ PT licensure, and certifications like AHA BLS are a must. You won’t need to worry about self-scheduling — the shifts and holidays rotate fairly among staff, offering a predictable rhythm with some weekend and holiday coverage. Expect to maintain professionalism while enjoying the satisfaction of contributing to patient recovery and team health.
