Job Description:

This wound care nursing role places you in a specialized inpatient setting across multiple hospitals in Tacoma, Washington. You'll be managing a minimum of five to fifteen wound patients daily, with a focus on ostomies, draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, vascular or diabetic ulcerations, and skin conditions related to incontinence, surgeries, or trauma. Your responsibilities include wound assessment, documentation, providing recommendations, coordinating patient care, and educating patients and staff. This assignment offers a chance to work with advanced wound management tools like wound vacs and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, all while floating to different facilities as needed. Having a CWON certification is required, and previous travel experience is not necessary. The shifts are structured as four 10-hour days, providing a balanced workload while allowing time to explore the local area.
