Job Description:

Travel MedSurg RN contract in Medford, Wisconsin with 12-hour nights and a consistent weekly commitment of 36 hours. You’ll work in a shared ICU/Med Surg setting within a 25-bed critical access hospital, supporting day-to-day unit needs while primarily handling MedSurg responsibilities—ICU has 3 beds within the same unit footprint. The typical unit census runs about 8–10, and ratios vary by shift (evenings/nights generally carry a higher patient load than days/evenings). Expect variable shifts, every other weekend and every other holiday, plus occasional floating to nearby departments or Aspirus locations to assist with task-based needs (you will not take a full patient load).

Charting is completed in Epic, and comfort reading telemetry strips is important for this role. During low census hours, travelers may be placed on call for on-call pay, with call-back minimums of 2 hours. This assignment is ideal for an experienced RN with 2+ years of MedSurg background; ED or ICU experience is especially helpful.
