Job Description:

This ICU nursing contract in Peoria, IL offers a chance to work in a high-acuity setting with complex patient needs including ventilated, sedated, and post-surgical patients. You will provide primary care for critically ill patients, manage titratable drips like vasopressors and sedation, and perform specialized care such as PEG tube feedings and CVC/PICC/Midline management. The shift is 12 hours overnight, requiring focus and precision in a fast-paced environment. Unique aspects include a dedicated in-house RT team available 24/7, tele-health support from intensivists after hours, and an expectation for ICU nurses to troubleshoot ventilators and telemetry monitors. This role is ideal for experienced ICU RNs who thrive on autonomy and technical skill, with the added benefit of working a predictable schedule every other weekend and holiday rotations.
