Job Description:

Join our team as a travel nurse in West Virginia, providing bedside care on a Medical-Surgical Orthopedic/Neuro unit with 21 beds—some private, some semi-private. You'll work 12-hour night shifts, gaining valuable experience managing patients with conditions such as total joint replacements, seizures, brain surgeries, and traction. This assignment offers a chance to support a busy unit focused on patient recovery, with ratios averaging 1:5-6. Expect to work every other weekend and be available for holiday shifts as needed. Your role will involve monitoring patient status, recognizing arrhythmias, administering IV medications like Heparin and Protonix, and collaborating with a hospitalist team. This assignment is perfect for a proactive nurse looking for a balanced yet engaging travel experience in a supportive environment—where your skills in arrhythmia recognition and technical procedures will shine.
