Job Description:

Join our clients in Ithaca, NY, for a 13-week contract as a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN. You'll be vital in managing patient recoveries from anesthesia, monitoring vital signs, and providing comfort in a fast-paced setting. The role involves 8-hour day shifts, with some on-call responsibilities—roughly three to four weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call within an 8-week span. During on-call periods, you'll be working from late evening into early morning for weeknights, and around the clock for weekend shifts. This assignment provides an excellent chance to gain experience in a hospital environment where teamwork and quick decision-making are daily staples. Expect to be on your feet, coordinating patient recoveries, and ensuring smooth transitions from the OR to PACU. It’s about delivering quality care in a setting that values your expertise and dedication, with a balance of hands-on work and scheduled downtime.
