Job Description:

This postpartum nursing role immerses you in a 5N unit that specializes in caring for women after vaginal or cesarean delivery and their newborns. Your team will handle patients with diagnoses such as postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium therapy, and postpartum infections, using equipment like blood pressure monitors, IV pumps, and venodynm machines. Expect to work a 12-hour rotating shift, covering every other weekend and major holidays, with orientation spanning three days hospital-wide and three days on the unit. The role offers a chance to refine your skills with complex postpartum cases, participate in unit-specific procedures, and work with a dedicated team overseeing a 13-bed postpartum and 4-bed Continuing Care Nursery. Scrubs are provided, and flu vaccines are required in season. The unit encourages teamwork and provides opportunities for first-time travelers committed to delivering quality patient-centered care.
