Job Description:

Join our team as an emergency department nurse at a busy Level 2 trauma center in Overland Park. This 13-week contract involves night shifts of 12 hours, providing critical care in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for managing trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis patients, performing procedures associated with trauma care, and ensuring documentation accuracy using Meditech. The role offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment such as Level 1 fluid warmers and GE monitor systems, while collaborating with a dedicated staff including RNs, unit secretaries, and tech support. Expect to be a vital part of a team that values positive attitude, professionalism, and patient experience, using tools like AIDET and whiteboards to enhance patient interactions. Your expertise in trauma and emergency nursing will be essential to deliver quality care in this specialized setting.
