Job Description:

This SICU Registered Nurse role offers a chance to work in a high-acuity surgical intensive care environment, with a focus on post-op care for complex patients including transplant recoveries and cardiac surgeries. You will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:2, often floating to other ICUs and SDUs as needed. This assignment features 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a commitment of 36 hours per week over 13 weeks. The role involves a mix of routine surgical recovery tasks and emergency response duties, including being prepared for emergency team activations. Epic experience, as well as familiarity with PA catheters, balloon pumps, and RRT, are preferred. Your work will directly support critically ill patients during their recovery from major surgeries in a setting that values flexibility and resilience. Expect to be at the forefront of patient stabilization during high-stakes moments, making each shift meaningful and impactful.
