Job Description:

Join a busy Medical Surgical unit as a Travel RN on 12-hour night shifts for a 14-week contract in Mount Ayr, Iowa. You will be responsible for managing a small patient census with responsibilities including titrating medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Levophed, interpreting telemetry strips, and providing direct care to geriatric, post-op ortho, and general surgery patients. This role offers the unique experience of floating to the ER when needed, working with a small, dedicated team, and gaining exposure to less common EMR systems. The schedule includes every other weekend and some holiday shifts. Previous CAH experience and ACLS, BLS certifications are required, with PALS preferred. The ideal candidate will adapt quickly to the unit's protocols, support staff, and equipment in a fast-paced environment that values clinical competence and flexibility.
