Job Description:

Join our team as a Medical Laboratory Technician in the vibrant city of New Orleans. This 13-week contract offers a rare chance to work in the Blood Bank unit, handling tasks such as irradiation, blood product splitting, and plasma reduction on plateletpheresis. You’ll work a 12-hour rotating night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), Wednesday through Tuesday, including every other weekend and work holidays in the schedule. This role requires at least 3 years of laboratory experience, a Louisiana license, and Epic system familiarity—ASCP certification is a bonus. The position is ideal for a dedicated professional comfortable troubleshooting laboratory equipment, maintaining rigorous inventory and quality control, and staying technically proficient in complex HPC procedures.
