Job Description:

This emergency department nursing role in Corpus Christi offers a chance to work night shifts in a 16-bed unit with an average of 6-7 staff members per shift. You'll be responsible for caring for low to moderate acuity patients, with the opportunity to gain experience in a hospital transitioning from Level IV to Level II trauma status. Expect to perform assessments, medication administration, wound care, IV starts, and documentation, all while utilizing advanced equipment like cardiac monitors and Baxter IV pumps. The environment encourages teamwork, urgency, and compassion, especially during high-pressure situations like stroke protocols and trauma responses. The shift is scheduled for 12-hour nights, providing a focused and engaging work experience for an established emergency RN.
