Job Description:

This assignment offers Registered Nurses the opportunity to work in the ER department of Ottumwa Regional Health Center, a regional hub with 217 licensed beds serving adult and geriatric populations. You will provide patient care during 12-hour mids shifts from 11 AM to 11 PM, covering both weekdays and weekends, and will need to be flexible to provide call coverage as needed. Your responsibilities will include responding to a high volume of approximately 40 patient visits daily, utilizing MediTech electronic health records, and collaborating with a team overseen by interim supervisor Samantha Haney. The healthcare environment emphasizes acute adult care, with a focus on emergency responses, critical situations, and participation in trauma and adult-specific protocols. This role provides a chance to experience a vibrant river town with beautiful trails and a rich local culture, with attention to compliance that includes mandatory background checks, certs, and drug screens.
