Job Description:

This travel assignment places you in an Observation Unit within a busy Level I trauma center in Toledo, Ohio. As a PCU Registered Nurse, you will rotate through a mixed unit of PCU, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg, providing care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions ranging from chest pain and arrhythmias to post-outpatient surgery complications. Expect a fast-paced environment where approximately two-thirds of patients are managed under EDOBS providers, and length of stay is targeted at 18 to 24 hours. You will float within your scope across various units including Neuro/Stroke, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, and others, working 12-hour daytime shifts. This role demands at least two years of experience with intermediate medication administration, including gtts such as heparin and insulin, and requires certifications in ACLS, BCLS, and NIH.
