Job Description:
Join our team as a Pediatric ER Registered Nurse and experience the rewarding challenge of caring for young patients in a busy pediatric emergency department. This 18-week contract offers you the opportunity to work 12-hour night shifts, providing vital support during high-demand periods. You'll be handling a variety of pediatric emergency cases, including triage, starting IVs, interpreting EKGs, and managing cardiac dysrhythmias, all while working alongside a team dedicated to excellence in pediatric urgent care. Job Specifics:
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Duration: 18 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week
The assignment involves working in a Level I Trauma, teaching hospital dedicated to children’s health. During busy times, you may assist with admission holds in the pediatric emergency department and occasionally float to pediatric inpatient units. The role requires at least 2 years of pediatric ER experience, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, and ENPC certifications, and pediatric-specific skills such as dosage calculations and phlebotomy. The environment demands adaptability, quick thinking, and a passion for pediatric emergency care.
