Duration: 26 weeks, full-time commitment of 36 hours per week
This role involves managing a neuro-med surg unit with approximately 54 beds, including patient populations such as stroke, spine surgery, and neuroscience cases. You will work alongside a charge nurse 24/7, with support from nurse aides and telemetry technicians. The unit requires experienced neuro nurses familiar with titrating heparin drips via Phillips telemetry monitors. Orientation includes 2 days of computer and unit-specific training, followed by supervised patient care. Weekend and holiday rotations are required but accommodations for requests will be made when possible. You will float between units as needed, and enjoy a supportive environment that values your expertise and independence. Scrubs are not provided, but dress code standards apply to maintain professionalism.
