Job Description:

Join a specialized ICU team in Rapid City for a 15-week travel assignment that offers a chance to experience a diverse range of critical cases in a mixed unit setting, divided into pods. This role is ideal for ICU nurses with at least two years of experience outside of travel, comfortable with complex patient diagnoses such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, and trauma. You’ll work 12-hour night shifts, providing care to critically ill patients, including those post-cardiac procedures, trauma, and surgical cases. Expect a fast-paced environment where your skills with ventilator management, hemodynamic lines, and medications like vasopressors will be vital. The unit also values cardiac experience, although it is not mandatory. This assignment requires prior travel experience and a willingness to obtain certification in TNCC if not already held. It’s an excellent opportunity to challenge your critical thinking and enhance your ICU expertise amid a supportive team of intensivists, nurses, and ancillary staff.
