Job Description:

This travel assignment places you as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry at a teaching hospital with 351 licensed beds and a trauma designation in process. You'll be working 12-hour day shifts over a 13-week contract, providing care for surgical patients including those undergoing total joint replacements, bariatric procedures, urology surgeries, spine surgeries, and GYN procedures. The unit operates with a typical RN to patient ratio of 1:6, giving you the opportunity to focus on quality patient care while enjoying the supportive environment of a resource team that includes charge nurses, hospitalists, and telemetry monitoring. Expect to utilize your surgical patient experience in a facility that values collaboration, technology such as EPIC EMR, and safety certifications like BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Minimal floating to medical-surgical units may be required, and orientation includes two days of departmental onboarding. This role offers a dynamic experience in a hospital that fosters a strong unit culture and encourages professional growth.
