Job Description:

Join our team as a travel nurse in a 30-bed MedSurg unit within a community hospital in Hastings, NE. This role offers a 12-hour night shift schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM, providing a mix of routine and complex patient care tasks. You'll work with a variety of diagnoses, including dementia, post-surgical recovery, influenza, pneumonia, COVID, and cancer, among others. Experience with chest tubes, pain management, TPN, CBI, and wound care is preferred. The unit generally maintains patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6, with nurse aides available to assist. RT equipment like CPAP is on site, and telemonitoring is in use to support patient needs.

This assignment features a consistent schedule, with approximately 36 hours per week over a duration of 13 weeks. Travelers will work within a team that values flexibility, including required weekend and holiday coverage on a rotating basis. The orientation includes two days with the nursing department and one day on the floor to facilitate a smooth transition into this supportive environment.
